Over the course of the next few weeks, Chevy is hosting “Chevy Night at the Drive In”; a four night summer series, in which the Chevy team hosts Ride & Drives and offers plenty of giveaways to movie goers. Drive ins are a classic American past time and as a classic American brand, Chevy wanted to show their support to the local drive in theaters.
After a six hour drive from the Big Apple to Rochester, we were really excited when we pulled up to the Vintage Drive In in town of Avon, to not only find four impressive screens, but also the chance to play mini golf and arcade games! The theater first opened on June 20, 1997 and showed the films, “Liar, Liar” and “Dante’s Peak”. Today, the theater is open from April to September and shows eight movies (two per screen) seven nights a week.

Tuesday night’s event offered free admission to the first 50 attendees who arrived in a Chevy and the chance to win VIP seating in a brand new Chevy Cruze provided by Ideal Chevrolet. The Chevy team had the Chevy Traverse and Camaro convertible available for ride and drives, and Rochester’s own Legends 102.7 were also on-site promoting the Chevy themed evening.
Be sure to visit us next week as we head back upstate to the Hathaway Drive In theater in North Hoosick, NY!
