April 4 – Taste of the Nation, Washington, D.C.

Taste of the Nation

March 28, 2011 2:07 pm ET

Share Our Strength’s annual Taste of the Nation Washington, DC will take place on April 4, 2011 at the National Building Museum.  Washington’s finest restaurants and chefs will gather at this momentous event to raise money and awareness to help end childhood hunger in our community and throughout America.  Though the event itself takes place in one evening, the process of raising funds is continuous each year.  All proceeds will directly benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which includes support for our local beneficiaries Capital Area Food Bank, DC Hunger Solutions and Mary’s Center.

Everyone can get a taste of the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, which will be on display directly next to Celebrity Chef Bryan Voltaggio’s VOLT station, from 7 pm to 10 pm. Attendees will get an intimate look at the Volt’s game-changing electric drive technology and the opportunity to speak with a product specialist — or even ask Bryan a question about it, as he is a fellow Chevy Volt driver!  And as an added treat, select visitors to the Chevy Volt display will receive a Volt apron!
