It’s that time of year again, road trip season, people of all ages are visiting their local bulk goods store, changing their oil, and making sure they’ve got someone watering their flower beds.    Before you hit the road for your summer adventure, make sure you have your smartphone cued up will all the essential applications to make your trip a success!  Here are three of our favorites from CNN’s list of the top ten road trip apps:

Gas Buddy- This is great app for road trippers on a budget.  This free application will help you locate the cheapest gas in your area, view stations prices, and reward you for reporting unlisted stations prices.  This app is a must have for long journeys.

Audible- It’s a personal preference but, I hate listening to music when I do long drives.  Given that every song is about two and a half minutes it’s a metronome to my drive.  That’s why I never leave without making sure I’ve downloaded a book on tape with Audible.  Spend the time lost in a good book, or listen to commentary from your favorite author.

iExit Interstate Exit Guide- Have you ever found yourself settling for some basic burger finding that choosing an exit for food is a gamble? Not anymore! Metrocket’s iExit has the answers to all of your exit questions.  Now you’ll know where and when to stop, to make the most out of your stop.

Smartphone is also convenient to use for vacation, travel and trips not only for communication but also to search for a place using Google maps.
