En route to the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Cadillac Ciel Concept made a quick stop in New York City to the surprise and delight of onlookers. The Ciel – the French translation for sky – is a four-seat convertible that opens a new chapter in Cadillac’s design and product ascent, embodying the brand’s Art & Science philosophy.
Niki Smart, the Exterior Design Manager for the Ciel, detailed the elegant, open-air grand-touring concept car and shared that the design was inspired by driving the California coast.
Ciel is a new expression of Cadillac’s historical grandeur, as well as a celebration of open-air motoring. The Cabernet exterior and rich leather interior, highlighted by Italian Olive wood accents, combine to make it a truly stunning vehicle.
While the Ciel concept is not slated for production, the unanimous response from the audience was “build it!”
