Saturday, September 10 was a big day in Washington, D.C., as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) powerhouses Howard University and Morehouse College battled each other on the football field for the first time in nearly 15 years.

Chevrolet was in on all of the action as more than 25,000 HBCU students, alumni, fans, and supporters came out for Saturday morning’s pre-game Fan Festival. Chevrolet hosted a 50×50 static display from 10:00 a.m. till the game’s kick-off at 3:30 p.m. HBCU students, fans, alumni and supporters enjoyed posing and taking pictures with the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, as well as checking out the sleek and stylish features of the Chevrolet Malibu.  The Chevrolet Equinox and Cruze were also on display drawing lots of attention from the crowd.

The renewal of one of college football’s most beloved rivalries did not disappoint. Howard University and Morehouse College certainly staged an exciting classic at the inaugural Nation’s Football Classic in Washington, D.C., with the Howard Bison defeating the Morehouse Tigers with a 30-27 victory. Chevrolet is honored to have been part of this incredible experience.
