Chevrolet Volt Brings Electric Sparkle to WIT Holiday Bash

The Chevrolet Volt certainly wasn’t the only shiny item shown off at D.C.’s Women in Technology (WIT) Holiday Bash on the evening of Dec. 15, but it was the most electrifying! Between the WIT singers’ performance and high-tech silent auction items raffled to support the WIT Education Foundation, the Volt graciously shared the spotlight. We were so excited to celebrate with the members of WIT and have the chance to give them a closer look at GM’s electric vehicle with range extender.
The feeling was mutual. The Volt was on display to greet party guests as they arrived. Many spent a few minutes getting to know the Volt’s electric technology as well as drop their business card to enter for a chance to win the GM “Season of Giving” Car Loan – a one week loan of the Volt!
Comments of delight ranging from, “It’s beautiful” and “Sexy!” to “I want one, now!” were heard throughout the evening and it was a pleasure to share in WIT’s celebration.
On a final note, the GM “Season of Giving” Car Loan winner became quite the celebrity upon the winner announcement as she fielded warm remarks of congratulations from the more than 150 guests until she walked out of the parking garage last night. We can’t wait to hear how she likes the test drive!
