Chevy Gets Nerdy at Nerd Nite NYC

On Friday night, Chevy got its nerd on at Nerd Nite NYC! It wasn’t the pocket protector and horn-rimmed glasses crowd as you might expect based on the events title, rather, a mixed bag of New Yorkers who wanted to mingle, network and learn all there is to know about wind turbines, dystopias and of course, heavy metal! Can we bring small wind turbines to NYC without disrupting our neighbors and sacrificing the city’s aesthetic? Yes! Did we learn more about dystopias in cinema and perception vs. reality in movies like The Matrix? Check! Are we now more excited than ever to jam in our Chevys to the six genres of heavy metal? Heck yes!

Of course, Nerd Nite was not to be outdone by a session of speed dating that took place just before the main event.

Chevy met up with Nerd Nite goers in Union Square, where they were given an opportunity to ride and drive to the DUMBO area in Brooklyn. With a fleet of 8 Chevys ranging from the ever so popular Volt to the Sonic, Cruze and Equinox, Chevy escorted more than 100 guests to and from Nerd Nite.
