Chevy Military Salute DC Extended with Nominations Accepted through October 30

There is still time left to nominate a DC active duty or retired military serviceman or woman who inspires you!

Chevrolet has long been a proud supporter of military men and women, as a producer of materials during WWII and through the military discounts the company offers servicemen and women today.

In an effort to continue to recognize and thank those who serve our country, the Driving the Northeast team is celebrating active duty and retired DC military men and women through the Chevrolet Military Salute DC program.

We’ll be accepting your nominations from September 24 through October 30. All nominations should be sent in via http://drivingthenortheast.com/military-salute-form to Lauren Fitapelli, the GM Northeast Region Military lead, who also has a brother serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy.

Here’s how to send us your nomination for the active duty or retired serviceman or woman you think deserves this special party!

We will choose the finalists and showcase them on our site. Then YOU will be able to show your support by voting on the site or via text for your favorite military serviceman or woman, and helping share his or her story. The selected serviceman or woman will receive a hometown celebration that will include their family and friends, as well as a one-week loan of a Chevrolet vehicle, not to mention a few other surprises.

Contest Details

*No purchase necessary to nominate an individual or to be nominated. Nominees must be a legal resident of Virginia, Maryland or Washington, DC, 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and currently a retired or active member of a branch of the U.S. armed forces. Nominations must be received between September 24 through October 30.  Five finalists will be featured on www.drivingthenortheast.com on November 2.  The public will be able to select one of the five finalists from November 2 through November 9 on www.drivingthenortheast.com or by texting CHEVYVOTE to 877877. The winner will be chosen and notified November 11 via e-mail and featured on www.drivingthenortheast.com. Military reward will include a one week-long vehicle loan, current hometown celebration in the serviceman/woman’s honor and other surprises.
