City Guide Attractions: New York, NY

With all the glitz and glamor of Midtown Manhattan it’s difficult to break the mold and go outside your comfort zone.  In our City Guide to shopping we highlighted a few lesser known shopping experiences that will make your weekend a financial success.  This week we’re again taking the road less traveled with a spotlight on three great attractions to get the inside scoop on New York.

• Who doesn’t love a little Leo?  But when the credits roll and Daniel Day, Cameron Diaz, and Liam Neeson are fast asleep in the collector’s edition dust jacket, you’re left with a lust for the Gangs of New York experience! • New York is home to a host of tourists from all around the world, so why not exotic parrots?  High above the gates of the pre-Civil War cemetery, wild Quaker Parrots have set up elaborate nests delighting guests for years.  Their dazzling color and exuberant personalities are a natural deterrent for the more common pigeon.  Stroll through the gardens of Green-Wood Cemetery and let them dazzle and amaze you.
