Fight For The Climb: Chevy Raises Money for American Lung Association NY at the Fight for Air Climb in Buffalo

40 flights of stairs is all it took for the American Lung Association (ALA) in Buffalo to convince more than 450 people – volunteers / participants / supporters –  to give up their Saturday morning for an amazing cause,  Fight for Air Climb.   Participants ran up 40 flights of stairs in teams to raise money for the ALA and Chevy was right there beside them, uh, figuratively of course.  :)

Local organizations banded together to raise money, including several local firefighter crews (who ran up in full bunker gear!), as well as families and friends of those who experience difficulty breathing every day.  Attendees were encouraged to help GM raise even more money for the cause by taking test drives of the three cars we had on site: the Chevrolet Malibu Eco, a Chevrolet Sonic and a Chevrolet Equinox – for every test drive GM donated $10 to the American Lung Association.   Approximately forty attendees signed up for the rides and since others were so busy doing the forty flight climb, we decided to go ahead and donate the full kit and caboodle anyway – $1,000 for the ALA!

Thanks so much for having us, Buffalo – we were encouraged to see so many excited faces on Saturday, we can’t wait to be back!
