Main Street in Motion made its 14th stop on its 24-city tour at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pa. With a view of Center City and the ballpark as the backdrop, consumers and media hit the tracks to test drive Chevrolet, Buick and GMC models, as well as our fiercest competitors.
As part of the weekend of drives, General Motors hosted some very special guests – the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists (PABJ) and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA).
The event kicked off with a brief welcome from Sarah Glover of the PABJ, followed by some inspiring remarks from Irv Randolph, Managing Editor of the Philadelphia Tribune, a long-standing PABJ member. PABJ members enjoyed spending the day driving and comparing our vehicles to the competitors.
The AAJA was welcomed by Philadelphia Chapter president, Julie Shaw, who invited everyone to spend the afternoon getting into as many cars as possible.
The Chevrolet performance course featured a variety of Camaros, Camaro Convertibles and Corvettes to test drive. One AAJA member said that driving the Corvette gave her the same excitement as going on a roller coaster!
There are only two Main Street in Motion stops left in the Northeast Region, so be sure to get to one of them before the tour moves on! For more information, please click here.
