We had a blast last Friday, taking a break out of the final work day of the week to celebrate some unique cars – old and new – with the employees of MITRE Corporation in McLean, Va.  MITRE Corp., a company that applies their expertise to systems engineering and information technology, was the perfect partner for this employee event showcasing a historic range of automotive technology. For the second year in a row, GM was able to join in the lunch hour fun as MITRE held its annual auto classic car show.

MITRE employees showcased some of GM’s finest classic vehicles, like a 1960s little red Corvette.  Meanwhile, GM was on-hand this year showing the 2012 Cadillac SRX and 2012 Buick Enclave, as well as giving test drives of the Chevrolet Volt and the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic.   Our very own Chaiti Sen from GM Communications even donned a judge’s hat as she reviewed the employee cars on display!  Congratulations to all the winners from Friday, including Robert Jensen with the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette for winning People’s Choice for the 1950s-1970s category.
