Thursday, Feb. 9, was a big day for Latinas in the business world as attendees and honored guests gathered at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. for the  2012 LATINA Style 50 Awards Ceremony & Diversity Leaders Conference.  The GM Northeast team was very excited to be a part of this special day.

As LATINA Style describes, “America’s diversity initiatives and commitment to advancing the careers of professional Hispanic women, the LATINA Style 50 has become the most prestigious analysis of corporate America’s efforts for promoting diversity…for Hispanic women. Anna Maria Arias, Founder of LATINA Style Magazine, began her quest to explore deeper into the business world and bring forth powerful and useful information on the increasing importance of recruiting professional Latinas.”

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., Mandy Lozano, Marketing Manager, Frito-Lay and Nilda Puig, Vice President of Global Services, Commercial and R&D, Johnson & Johnson, were among the impressive and passionate speakers throughout the conference, highlighting the importance of corporate responsibility and empowering employees.  The top honor for 2011 company of the year went to Deloitte for outstanding commitment to diversity initiatives.

We were proud to lend the Cadillac SRX to shuttle VIP guests for a couple days surrounding the conference.  Congrats to all those honored!
