March 13-25 Environmental Film Festival in Washington, D.C.

The Environmental Film Festival (EFF) will mark its 20th anniversary this month in Washington, D.C., and General Motors is extremely proud to be the official 2012 automotive sponsor.

The EFF has become one of the world’s largest and most influential showcases of environmental films and a major collaborative culture event in D.C.  Each March, the Festival presents a variety of films, including many local, national and world premieres.

This year’s film selection will present a variety of films including, “Revenge of the Electric Car” directed by Chris Paine and “Watershed: Exploring a New Water Ethic for the New West,” narrated by Robert Redford and produced by his son, James Redford.  In particular for students, “Fryer to Fuel” will be showing at American University on March 21.  Following the film there will be a discussion with student filmmakers, hosted and moderated by Chris Palmer, Director, Center for Environmental Filmmaking at American University.

Throughout the festival, the Chevrolet Volt will be on display at several Carnegie Institute for Science movie screenings and a few other activities too.  More details to come, so stay tuned!
