September 21, 2011 10:35 am ET

Join us at the 2011 Head of the Ohio Regatta in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 1.

One of the largest one-day regattas in the country, Head of the Ohio (HOTO) is one of the city’s premier outdoor events, attracting rowers of all abilities from juniors to Olympians, as well as collegiate rowers from more than 75 colleges and universities.

Helping the Three Rivers Rowing Association celebrate its 25th anniversary event, we’ll be on hand to offer a shuttle from the 15th St. and Smallman St. parking lot to the launch area at 800 Waterfront Drive from 5:30-10 a.m. and back from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Cruze Eco, Tahoe Hybrid and more.

And, join us from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 300 Waterfront Drive for a test drive in the new electric Chevy Volt and other 2011 models. Chevy will partner with HOTO, WTAE-TV and the Salvation Army of Southwestern Pennsylvania by making a $1 donation for every test drive to support the “Project Bundle-Up” initiative, which raises funds to provide children and seniors with new winter outerwear.

So travel in style, help keep local residents warm this winter and enjoy watching some of the country’s finest rowers take to the water in Pittsburgh! For more details on the day, visit www.headoftheohio.org.
