PA Chevrolet Military Salute Celebrates Staff Sgt. Coudriet

Military Salute

It was all about stars, stripes and fast cars at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2819 in Philadelphia on November 5, as friends, family and fellow service members gathered to honor and celebrate Staff Sgt. Anthony Coudriet of the United States Air Force.

Coudriet, a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and current Air Force recruiter, was nominated for the Chevrolet Military Salute in Pennsylvania program by his wife, Amanda. Selected as one of six finalists and profiled on the Driving the Northeast website last month, Coudriet received more than 4,500 public votes of support. As the recipient of this honor, Chevy threw Coudriet a true red, white and blue Chevy-style celebration.

It began when Chevrolet arrived at the Coudriet family home on base Saturday morning to escort them to the party via a brand-new Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Upon arriving, Coudriet, his wife and two daughters were welcomed by cheers and waving American flags. Guests traveled from as far as Ohio and Virginia to attend.

93.3 WMMR’s ground crew was proud to provide music throughout the day and even handed out concert tickets!

There was lots of food and….. oh yeah, let’s not forget about the cars. A Corvette, Camaro, Sonic, Traverse, Equinox and Silverado all graced the VFW’s parking lot and partygoers were able to take the vehicles of their choosing for a spin.

Our team enjoyed getting to know Staff Sgt. Coudriet, as well as hearing stories from his family, friends and fellow service members on how he inspires them.

When we said our goodbyes, we were all too happy to turn over the keys of the Torch Red Chevy Corvette Grand Sport Coupe to Staff Sgt. Coudriet for the week! A special thank you to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2819, 93.3 WMMR and Bryner Chevrolet.
