What do you get when you mix scorching temperatures, OnStar and milkshakes? One successful Pittsburgh Chevy Shakes and Sliders Crawl!
On June 8, we invited nine of Pittsburgh’s leading food and lifestyle bloggers to climb aboard our vehicles for a food crawl around the city focusing on the new craze: burgers and milkshakes. Bloggers from eatPGH, PopCity, IHeartPGH, Vanilla Icing, Mr. Baconpants, Culinary Cory and This Man’s Kitchen joined us for the culinary adventure to help kickoff the start of summer!
We started the afternoon with product overviews of the new Volt, Cruze, Equinox, Tahoe Hybrid, Camaro and Suburban from local Chevy experts.
Our first stop was BRGR, Pittsburgh’s first gourmet burger bar, where we dined on their rooftop deck and enjoyed handcrafted burgers and delicious shakes.
Next, we drove our new Chevys to Bistro on Penn, the newest addition to the Sharp Edge family of pubs. Located in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, we sampled its unique Belgian, ostrich and duck burger sliders.
And, with temperatures blazing above 90 degrees in Pittsburgh, we ended our crawl by sampling numerous flavors in the city’s Southside neighborhood at The Milk Shake Factory. Needless to say, it was a big hit!
You can check out some of our bloggers’ recaps on the crawl below – more to come soon!
Thanks again to everyone who participated and all of the restaurants for being such great hosts. We hope you enjoyed driving our Chevys for the week too!
Check out the video below for food crawl highlights too!
