For Tara O’Grady, it all started as a dream to follow in her granny’s footsteps… chasing her spirit across the U.S. in a Chevrolet, just like her grandmother did more than 50 years ago. And what better way to celebrate Chevrolet’s Centennial year than a trip filled with history and nostalgia…
Today, Tara O’Grady and her road trip companion, Lauren Fedders, set off to make that dream a reality. Making stops all along the Northern territories of the U.S., Tara will celebrate Chevrolet’s Centennial and re-create the trip that her granny took, including some of the same restaurants and attractions. But instead of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, Tara and Lauren will have an updated ride - a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox to take all the way to Chicago, and then a Chevrolet Silverado to make the rest of the journey.
Why the switch? We’ll let Tara explain…
Check out the video that landed Tara her ride, courtesy of Chevrolet, and follow along on her journey across the United States and back, as she stops to ask people, “What is your American dream?” And don’t miss the variety of reditions of “See the USA in a Chevrolet” that Tara will be filming along the way.

Hi Tara I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you and Lauren when you were at the Dmax plant last week, I think I passed the 2 of you at the security office while you were checking in. One of you said that you had just posted that you had arrived at Dmax, and you already had a comment!
I hope you have a great time on your adventure, and that you will come to love the product that we made here in Ohio for your Chevrolet! I either built, or installed the EGR cooler that you're driving.
