The Maryland Green Designer Show Home and Volt Display!

Thursday October 4, launched the public opening of the Maryland Green Designer Show Home in Gambrills, Md.  Built to incorporate eco-friendly designs and systems throughout the 7,000 square foot home, it includes architecture from Purple Cherry Architects and designs in 23 difference spaces from designer Tim McDonough of TM Designs.  Of course the home would not be complete without an environmentally friendly-fitted garage.  Chevrolet is a proud supporter of the Maryland Green Designer Show Home in its inaugural year showcasing a 2013 Chevrolet Volt, General Motors’ one-of-a-kind, electric vehicle with range extender.

As a demonstration of Chevrolet’s commitment to eco-excellence, a 2013 Volt from Sport Chevrolet will be on display for the duration of the showcase and offer visitors an exclusive opportunity to see the most unique vehicle on the road today designed to provide the fuel saving and emission-reducing benefits of an electric vehicle without the range limitations associated with all-electric vehicles.  Sport Chevrolet of Silver Spring, Md., will be on hand to guide visitors on their tour of the Volt throughout the showcase.

The Maryland Green Designer Show Home will welcome visitors for tours through November 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday.  Tickets are $20 per person; profits benefit local charities, Hospice of the Chesapeake and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
