Tony Horton is the fitness master behind the highly popular program, P90X, and holds an impressive library of other fitness programs like Power 90, One on One with Tony Horton, and Ten Minute Trainer. Tony has completed a “Ripped and Ready” Tour with Armed Forces Entertainment in support of our troops and spends time in D.C. whipping about 140 members of Congress into shape on Capital Hill. Most recently, Tony launched the Bring It Minute, which puts Tony’s fitness enthusiasts in touch with him to answer questions about fitness, nutrition and all things X-treme!
Ready, set, go! This year’s National Press Club (NPC) “Beat the Deadline” 5K is fast approaching. And, Chevrolet is once again proud to join me (Tony Horton) as a supporter of such a great cause on Saturday, June 9. The race benefits the NPC’s Journalism Institute that helps promote diversity within the profession through scholarships.
D.C.-area runners, listen up: I invite you to join Team Chevy and myself for the NPC 5K! Tell us in the comments section below why YOU should make the cut and join us to support this important cause by June 4 at 12:00p.m. EST. Check back here at 5:00 p.m. EST of June 5 where we’ll announce the five official members of Team Chevy, who will each receive a free race registration and a get set team warm-up led by me on race day!
The Chevrolet Volt, GM’s electric vehicle with extended-range, will be on display on race day for any and all runners and fans to stop by and check out. Plus, the male and female winners will receive a one-week Chevrolet Volt loan!
And don’t forget to check out my “Bring It Minute” leading up to race day, as it will surely offer great tips to get you ready for the race!
Team Chevy Requirements: All Team Chevy runners must be residents of the greater Washington, D.C. area and agree to submit a guest blog post for “Driving the Northeast” highlighting their NPC 5K race experience. Team Chevy members will be contacted via email to arrange registration for the race.
