Volt to Vacation

As you know the cars and trucks of GM have a lot of personality and with that, many thoughts to share. This guest post is written by the Chevy Volt, who is looking to meet that special someone.

The Sonic came back to the garage and can’t stop talking about its date with Sarah Coulsey and I started to get jealous…I am in high demand you know… hip, young and green!  I’ve decided I want to follow the Sonic’s lead and let you decide who I go out with! But I’ve got a lot of road to cover and I want my little black book to be filled with choices.

That said, I am going to be opening up my social calendar to you!  The Sonic went on a date so I am taking it to the next level!  I move fast… so let me know where you’re going on vacation!  Hint:  I love eco-friendly, or green activities that I can make greener!

Here’s how “Date My Chevy” works

Tell us where you’re headed or would like to go this summer in search of “greener” pastures. It can be anything from picking up trash on the beach, to camping in the woods!

Our team will select the five (5) most fun and interesting options from the submissions via the online form and Twitter. The five (5) finalist submissions will be posted to our website and our readers will be invited to vote for their favorite Chevy Volt “vacation”.

The “vacation” with the most votes wins! We’ll bring the Chevy Volt and if the conversation and company are good, we may even just pick up the tab – so bring the fun!

We’ll be accepting your nominations until July, 10 2012. All nominations should be completed online by filling out this form or by Tweeting us @GMNortheast using the hashtags and #DateMyChevy. The @GMNortheast handle and #DateMyChevy  hashtags must be used for Twitter submissions to be considered for a finalist spot. Please follow the @GMNortheast handle so we can DM the finalists for their contact information.

Submission Details

*No purchase necessary to enter a submission. Nominators must be a legal resident of the Northeast Region (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia), 21 years or older and have a valid driver’s license. Nominations must be received between June 26, 2012 and July, 17 2012.  Five (5) finalists will be featured on www.drivingthenortheast.com on July 19, 2012. Website visitors will be able to select one (1) of the five (5) finalists from July 19, 2012 through August 7, 2012 on www.drivingthenortheast.com. The winner will be chosen and notified August 9, 2012 via e-mail and featured on www.drivingthenortheast.com. The winning date will receive a Chevrolet Vacation for a one-week vehicle loan to take on the “vacation”, as well as a couple of other surprises.
