Oct. 14-16 – Win Tickets to See the New Chevrolet Sonic at NY Comic Con!

2012 Chevrolet Sonic Hatchback

October 3, 2011 2:30 pm ET

Chevrolet is introducing the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic – a fun to drive, fuel-efficient small car – during New York Comic Con, Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16 at Jacob Javits Convention Center. If you’re already planning to visit the convention, be sure to get your photo in front of our three special-edition, wrapped Sonics designed by comic book artists Neal Adams & Simone Legno.

Want to come? In honor of this exciting celebration, we’d like to have some of our followers join us for a day of Sonic loving, comic book appreciating, and costume wearing fun! That’s why we are giving 5 lucky followers, and their guests, the chance to receive a day pass to New York City’s Comic Con and our Sonic test drive at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

For your chance to win a Comic Con day pass, leave a blog post below finishing the following sentence:

The superhero (fictional or real) who would most benefit from the Sonic is….

Contest Overview

  • Just explain who should have the Sonic as a superhero car and why in 100 words or less as a comment below
  • You must include your email address in the comment form to be eligible to win
  • We’ll pick our five favorites throughout the week so you have until Oct. 7 to get creative
  • We’ll contact the winners via email to arrange ticket preference and delivery (winners must respond by Oct. 12)
  • These tickets are a hot item so please only leave a comment/enter to win if you’re free Oct. 14-16 and can arrange travel to New York City.

We’re also giving tickets away via Twitter so be on the look out for our hashtag #SonicNYCC and be ready to suggest what superhero feature the Sonic should have. We’re thinking the ability to fly…

So in the spirit of firsts, help Chevrolet celebrate being one of the first car manufacturers to launch a vehicle at Comic Con… see you there!

Sonic the Hedgehog because he hasn't been out much and would like for his name to reappear in the spotlight along with the best!

Banshee, he'd have a "sonic" boom of a good time driving around in it.

The Great Pumpkin from "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". That way he'd be able to rise out of the pumpkin patch, start up his new Chevy Sonic to fly through the air and bring toys to all the children of the world. Although he would totally need a roof rack for Pig Pen :)

Captain Underpants because, although he is awesome and his costume is awesome not everybody wants to see an overweight guy with a cape on in his tighty wighties. In that sonic he may actually be able to get some ladies.

…My Dad because he needs his super powers to handle me . I use my evil "10 year old kid power" to try to conquer the house every day, but he fights back with fun and responsibility, and after defeating me, I am sentenced to room cleaning and doing dishes, then the battle continues, But Rest assured, One day I will win the battle and he will have to make his bed too! Ironically, Mom thinks he has "Evil Lazy dad powers" The Sonic would make a great Super-Dad mobile for something he calls his man cave.
