We all recognize this time of year, a crisp bite in the air, the days are getting shorter, and football is back on TV.  That’s right, fall’s almost here! But apple picking being right around the corner doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a day of the pavement flying under your feet as you explore new areas!  RoadTripAmerica.com has a plethora of road trip tools including great itineraries! This week make sure to check out one of their great day trips for an afternoon you won’t forget.  Here are our three favorites for a day trip from New York City:

Fall in Sleepy Hallow- Embrace the haunted mystique of Sleep Hallow by exploring all of the nooks and crannies that make the sleepy town so wonderful.

Embracing the Edible- Head 45 minutes out of the city to Stone Barns, an agricultural center celebrating farming and the benefits of sustainable agriculture for an edible adventure.

History In Your Hands- Head 50 miles North to experience the rich history of the United States oldest military academy, West Point. With a history that spans over 200 years, West Point is the perfect location for history/military buffs alike.
